Product Description The formula for Child is rich and intoxicating. The uninhibited fragrance is derived from brilliant exotic flowers. Child is a personal fragrance that beautifully retains the quality of understatement.

overwhelming February 15, 2008 I do not doubt that this is made of the finest ingredients. I had heard of how amazing this perfume was and how it is made with each bottle being hand poured etc... However, it is incredibly strong and seemed to have a single note of Pikaki/Hawaiian Jasmine which smelled very similar to Gardenia. That may not be the case but it is how it smelled. I get that quality oils do not fade off easily but this was too intense. I could never detect any other notes to soften seemingly pure Gardenia into a unique fragrance. I appreciate perfumes that do not fade but this gave me a two day headache because it wouldn't go away.
The Best Pikaki...Ever February 12, 2008 The main note in Child is Pikaki(Hawaiian Jasmine). It smells tropical and fresh and doesn't turn on me like every other Pikaki that I have tried. I love that it is not perfumey. It is fresh, light and beautiful. It is a keeper; a cult perfume with a devoted following. On me it has great lasting power and still smells wonderful the next day. There are other notes in Child, but what you smell is Pikaki. The other notes just enhance. I have always loved the smell of Pikaki, but this is the first one that I have been able to actually wear because it doesn't turn on me. I suppose that's because of the other ingredients that are silent in the backround but work some kind of magic to make this the best Pikaki fragrance ever and the only one that I have ever been able to wear. I absolutely love it!
Child Should Be Seen And Not Smelled December 13, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
After reading so many positive reviews on this fragrance, and not being able to find it in stores to test for myself, I ordered it online. I was so excited when it finaly arrived. I've always wanted that "signature scent" - one that people would stop and ask me what I was wearing. Knowing this fragrance isn't easy to find I thought I finally found "the one". Boy, was I dissappointed!! It is so heavy on the Jasmine that no other scent comes through. It reminds me of something my grandmother would have worn years ago. Or worse, one of those cheap perfumes sold locally in many of the surf & beach shops here in South Florida. Even my 15 year old daughter thought it smelled like "something an old lady would wear". It actually made her sneeze!! Obviously, alot of people love it. I realize different scents smell differently on each individual. Since I had only read good reviews I just wanted to let others like me know if you don't like an overly sweet, flowery fragrance stay clear of Child. For floral I'll stick to my husbands favorite: Anais Anais by Cacharel.
The Best Ever - This Fragrance Rocks!! August 8, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Over the last few days I went on a bit of perfume shopping frenzy ordering up all types of "cult oils". Some of those included Child, Kai, Monyette Paris, and Sage Machado's - Amethyst, Moon, Black Onyx. "Child" blows all of the others completely out of the water and as far as I'm concerned the money that I spent on the other crap was a waste and I could have racked up on Child. This is the best fragrance yet. It really is addictive. I love to smell myself = ). I have never been that crazy about any other scent. Its a beautiful fragrance that makes you feel so fresh and feminine. I mean, you're not running around smelling like a bouquet - Its a clean, classy scent! If you are seriously thinking about this and having any doubts - rest assured you're looking at probably one the best "cult" oils out there. You should get it today!! And if you don't - well, thats just more for me!! I'm hooked = )
Signature scent October 2, 2006 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Often I find myself purchasing fragrances from the niche market and having short-lived affairs with them, loving the chase and the purchase more than the scent itself. At $47 for a 10ml, Child's smaller roll-on version is not inexpensive, but for me, definitely worth the price (although $92 for the 1.3oz is the way to go). It is tropical, lush, sweet, and fresh - a dead ringer for Hawaiian pikake - and it really does dry down differently on everyone who wears it. On some, it stays sweet and floral; on others, fresh, like newly washed laundry. This is as close to a signature scent as I'll ever get - I love the way the oil melts into my skin, as if I'm naturally emitting the fragrance. Lasting power isn't as long for me as say, Sage Machado's oils, but I don't mind the reapplication, and if I apply it very closely to my clothes and on the back of my neck, on my hairline, it does last some time longer. I've also tried to layer with the body lotion, which smells identical in the first few minutes, but then sadly turns to a sharp gardenia very quickly. Perhaps I'll eventually try the limited edition spray perfume, if I could be guaranteed it will be a twin to the oil.
