This particular scent (red currant) is beter than a plug in air freshener. I took the package out of the box and just placed it in a basket in my bedroom. After about half an hour, I walked back in and wondered where the fragrance was coming from -- they totally scented the room even inside the plastic. Now, I just place the sticks all over the house.
