I was a bit put off by the price, but upon receiving it, I realized it was well worth it. Magnificent, woody scent, yet subtle and refined.

Initially Burberry London seems a heck of a lot spicier than "Burberry's Burberry Fragrance for Men," a sort of mix between the Burberry Fragrance and what appears to be a watered down version of old spice. However spicy it might be at first, London defines itself as a distinctive and equally as enjoyable fragrance.
The only thing one can really compare London to is the Burberry Fragrance for men. The fragrance notes are extremely similar, and yet in many respects the Burberry Fragrance comes across as deeper or rather warmer. No matter though, in a boat all of its own London is a spicy, original fragrance that is floral and yet not too much so.
Because London is extremely spicy (although it does mellow out quite a bit, serving to be quite a good fragrance for informal affairs as well as formal ones), it seems extremely heavy and will no doubt be for those that wish to stand out, and yet I find the Burberry Fragrance to be more of for everyday wear as well as formal occasions.
If you want something a bit "warmer," more subdued and more proper for everyday use than the Burberry Fragrance is most assuredly for you (which since it is "warmer" and more subdued, offers a bit more complexity).
If spiciness and distinctiveness is what you are looking for with Burberry than look no further than London.

I tried several great colognes over the years (dolce & gabana, polo blue, boucheron among others) and this is my top pick... I couldnt understand why my father stuck to his eau savage all his life...now I do, a real man has a fragance that will be his signature...a smell that will be his trademark among family friends and lovers...my choice is and will be burberry london.
