Beware-colors incorrect January 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am rating this product lower due to the incorrect color names associated with the color swatches on this website. I made the mistake of ordering 'blushing apple' because it looked like the color i ordered before. When it arrived, it was nothing like the amazon website color, pink/brown, but actually a dark red/orange color. This color would be appropriate for someone with a dark complexion. The brochure sent with my order actually had the correct colors labeled and 'blushing apple' is the darkest color they have. I queried my office of 20 and no one thought the 'blushing apple' on the amazon website anywhere close to the product. OK, my mistake, should have gone to the mall to make sure I ordered the color by name instead of memory. Contacted Laura Mercier customer service to point out the color mistake on the amazon website and got the usual cs reply which was more or less "hey thanks, we didn't read your email but hope you like our stuff!"
Scary looking in the compact but PERFECT on! December 2, 2007 I have the shade pictured (I think it's Oleander) and it looks SO bright and scary in the package. I could not believe the lady was picking bright pink to put on me as I am very pale with lots of red undertones. In short, I'm trying to avoid looking pink! But, it turned out to be the perfect shade. It's very sheer, and it just looks like I have the slightest healthy flush. Love this product! I use it in combo with the mineral powder or the foundation and pressed powder.
Wonderful! June 22, 2005 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Laura Mercier blushes are of superior quality. They blend right into your skin and look very natural. They have great staying power and really mistake-proof so you don't need to worry about streaky application.
My favorite is Crushed Hazelnut, a beautiful natural shade. It's a sheer pinky-peach shade with just the right amount of shimmer. Great even for daytime. The second one I like is Wild Bouquet, which is a soft pinky-brown shade. Both colors are very natural looking and give my medium/olive skintone a natural healthy flush.
Luxury Blush worth the money January 10, 2005 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
This is a powder blush that feels smooth, not grainy. It goes on sheer and can be layered. Crushed Hazelnut is one of my favorites -- it doesn't sparkle but instead looks like a natural flush on medium-tone skin.
If you are a teen and want sparkle in a department store line then you would be happier with Lancome. If you like something more natural then this is a great choice.
(Note: I would rather have a few good cosmetics than tons of cheap ones.)
