Very portable and blends well August 24, 2008 Before trying this makeup, I had been using Bare Escentuals powder foundation. Although I loved the coverage of the BE powder, the color never seemed quite right and it was easy to tell that I had makeup on. Plus, the BE powder was messy and was all over the place in my bathroom after I applied it. The Urban Decay surreal skin blended right in to my skin and the color matched well. It was just enough coverage that it hides my imperfections yet looks natural. Plus, it's very portable and doesn't leave makeup all over my counter. Good stuff!
UGHH, August 17, 2008 This is the worst 30 bucks I have ever spent. If one little particle of this stuff touches your clothes, BOOM! A giant stain that will never ever leave. It's super messy and the puff thing doesen't help at all, using a brush makes the makeup get all over the place. Don't waste your money on this.
a good light to medium coverage mineral foundation August 5, 2008 Urban Decay Surreal Skin Mineral Makeup is a pretty good mineral foundation, it's better than bare minerals but not as good as other more natural mineral foundations like Alima, in my opinion. The coverage is pretty good and doesn't have an unnatural shine like bare mineral has, for me anyways. The applicator is nice and it's easy to remove the top so I can put the makeup on with my foundation brush when I want to. The sponge top is great for blending. They have very few shades though so it may be hard to find one to match your skin tone.
If you are wondering about the ingredients, this foundation includes: Methylparaben, Prolparaben, and it may contain Mica, Bismuth Oxychloride (this can cause irritation and an allergic reaction), Titanium Dioxide, and some Iron Oxides.
Basically, this mineral foundation works for a lot of people but if you're looking for something a little more natural or your perfect shade I would recommend researching Alima (they are actually certified natural, they have about 60 different shades, and they have very affordable samples) and Everyday Mineral (they offer a free custom sample makeup kit.)
But, if you don't find the ingredients irritating this is a great mineral foundation. Like another review said it really does work as a concealer (apply it with a concealer brush), foundation (a foundation brush will work wonderfully), and finisher (the sponge applicator works great to apply a nice finish) all in one.

The BEST Mineral Foundation!! August 4, 2008 I have tried so many mineral makeup brands and this is by far the BEST one for my oily/acne prone skin. It gives great coverage without looking cakey or shiney. It gives the most natural finish and lasts all day. I just buff this on & use a concealer brush to go over any flaws and I'm out the door. It is a foundation, concealer & finishing powder all in one. Well worth the price!
Too dark for fair skin July 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This stuff feels light as air on my skin. Love that. I have oily skin and this would be great if it weren't too dark. The lightest shade is Illusion, which is at least 3 shades too dark for me. I normally use the lightest shade available. This isn't even close. Otherwise, it would be great.
