 Highly highly highly Recommend! September 24, 2008
I stumbled across this trying to find MAC's Fluidline Eye Liner Gel in black. Even though I normally use MAC for everything they didn't have the right color so I bought the Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner instead and I am SO glad I did.
The gel literally lasts all day. Even with my MAC Fluidline the eyeliner was prone to smearing or fading a few hours after application, but the Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner literally lasts all day. It dried shortly after application and even though I line the bottom on my eyes right on the bottom lid nearest the eye, which usually rubs off shortly, this gel stays in place for 10+ hours except the corners of my eye that I often rub. It does not smear, it does not fade, it does not come off. I am so incredibly impressed by the product.
Looking at the gel on the BB site seemed to indicate it should be applied with a thin brush, but I use a Trish McEvoy #M11 stiff eyeliner brush and it worked beautifully.
At first I thought that there wasn't much of the product in the little container, but after seeing how little it took to line both eyes I am incredibly impressed. I won't be switching all my products to BB from MAC but I will never again get the MAC Fluidline so long as BB offers this product.
Easier to use than expected September 12, 2008
I was concerned about applying this eyeliner because I was not used to gel liners. I have been using an extremely thin eyeliner brush, though, and have had no problems at all. I found that there is a brief window of opportunity to correct/smudge a bit if the line is off or too thick. But I stress the word "brief"! Like other reviewers, this eyeliner has lasted all day without the slightest bit of movement. In the past, my eyeliner has always disappeared from my upper lid and smudged when I wear it below the eye. This eyeliner does neither. I also have sparse, blond lashes so this stuff really makes my eyes pop and takes the burden off of the mascara! I will say that I just couldn't bring myself to spend $22 on the brush, so I bought one at Target for around $5 and have been extremely pleased with it. I just make sure to wash it with mild face soap each time I use it or else I think it would get very clumpy.

I still dutifully buy this eyeliner because I have yet to find anything better. Ditto the reviewers who say the jar dries out way too fast and their brush is ineffective. Better results from an angled MAC brush. Sepia Ink is my favorite color.

Love this eyeliner! It is easy to apply and last all day long.
Graphite Shimmer Ink is the perfect color for my color eyes.
Great price and this little bottle last a long time! I did find it is best to use it with Bobbi Borwns eyeliner brush. Love It!!!!
 Good Stuff June 21, 2008
Easy to apply with BB's liner brush. Very precise application. Love the color selections. I use the Violet Ink and it really makes my green eyes pop. The little pot lasts FOREVER. Great price, too. HOWEVER, I do not find that it very long wearing. I do tend to have watery eyes and it does not withstand that issue. Still, great stuff!
