DO NOT BUY August 15, 2008 I am a long time fan of DiorShow and never leave home without. When Blackout came out, I was excited. I believed it would be an improvement but boy was I surprised. It doesn't work like Diorshow. I have sad bleh lashes with it. But worst of all, YOUR LASHES FALL OUT. I am not the only one. My friend who told me about Blackout had the same problem as did another friend. Something about this just makes them so stiff the plunk out. Diorshow is perfect and I'll never dare put my lashes through any more tests.
Good GLaM. July 7, 2008 I'm an artist/ model/ actress/ music producer/ singer in L.A.- and here in this urban jungle, all girls have to look really good. and most girls look like they have just walked out of Vogue. So... I thought I would spend my food/paint money to buy a little beauty since we aren't really encouraged to eat anyways... Well, I have to say that this mascara... combined with Smashbox High Definition Foundation is a stunning combo.
I use an "eco tools foundation brush" I picked up from Target with the foundation for a more dewy, radiant look... I coat my lashes with this Dior ( I like that the mascara can be built upon) and add a bit of liner on my lips and eyes, smudge of contour and blush to make me look younger and "healthy" and a splash of colour on my lids and my mug can be ready now in under 10. Not ready. Brilliant. Camera ready. L.A. shark repellant ready. Paris Hilton, Angelina Jolie ready.
Or course, no product is perfect. And if one is, I have yet to discover it. Now, I have dry L.A. desert skin and must moisturize all the time. So when people speak of "raccoon eyes", well, I have never experienced that. My skin is too dry and it takes a bit of oil to let the make up migrate across one's face... however... ALL that being said.... For the first time in my life, i had smudging issues with a mascara. I also experienced some eye irritation. This is coming from a girl who grew up in the theatre/ ballet and gone to the industry of Hollywood- nothing is kind to your face.
Yet, this mascara made my eyes water... Curiously, when I cry... it doesn't run. And that is a plus. While I would recommend this to a friend (because whenever I wear it with the above make up combo, I am constantly told great things about my facial features, and who doesn't want to be pretty?), I am going to try the other Dior mascara people are talking about and see if it is better or worse.

Diorshow Black Out Mascara May 17, 2008 I became exclusive with Diorshow mascara a number of years ago simply because there isn't any other mascara that compares. It has a dramatic effect on your lashes, and I have big eyes with long lashes as it is, so I can understand that those who have smaller eye lids and short lashes would shy away from a brush as big and full as this one. The Black Out version of Diorshow is even more dramatic with it's deep shade and exactly what I look for in a mascara.
This product is for you if you want over-the-top lashes.
I recommend if you're going to spend nearly $30 on mascara that don't purchase it online without trying it first - everyone's eye lashes are different... but for me this mascara is perfect.
False Eyelashes? March 25, 2008 I was very disappointed several years ago when I purchased the DiorShow Waterproof mascara, as it was not waterproof by any stretch of the imagination and was very weak as far as how much it lengthened and voluminized my eyelashes. I was at Sephora a little while ago and I noticed a test tube of this mascara lying around at the Dior counter. On a whim, I decided to use one of the tester wands and see how it worked. I loved the smooth formula and how it made my eyelashes look infinitely longer and wider, but not clumped. I bought the mascara. I use this mascara daily now on my top eyelashes and I absolutely love it. I do have somewhat long and thick natural eyelashes, but they are a very light brown. This really brings them out, and the color is intense but beautiful. I've been asked several times now if I was wearing false lashes! The complaint that I have is pretty significant, though. I like to use mascara on my bottom lashes, so I tried this mascara and it looked great when I first applied it, but a couple of hours later I was walking around with pre-mascara bottom lashes and a bunch of weird smudge marks under my eyes. I don't think smudging is acceptable for a $20+ mascara, but I really can't complain because I love what it does to my upper lashes so much. Definitely recommended, but be careful!
The BEST Mascara EVER! March 4, 2008 I have never been so pleased with a mascara as I am with this one. It gives such length and makes your lashes significantly thicker. Great look! I just wish it came in waterproof - but I guess you can't have everything?
