the answer to my prayer July 29, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
i've had kp for so long, i tried everything. nothing seemed to work. a couple of weeks ago i got an amazon gift card, so i decided to buy the kp scrub with it. i been using it for about a month now and i swear to you that it cleared up almost all of the bumps on my arms. trust me i had it bad and if it worked for me it will work for you.
Not a single solution for KP, but a great in general. May 4, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I've had KP since I was a teenager. It is most prominent along the back of my thighs, buttocks, and a little on my elbows. In an effort to "smooth" out the bumps even before I knew I had KP, I used a number of exfoliating scrubs and tools. This by far is the best exfoliant yet. It's both chemical and physical,; giving you the best exfoliation you could get all over the body. Good advice: apply on dry skin (so it doesn't slide off), then use a pumice stone ( I use a Mr. Pumice Pumi Bar Purple Extra Coarse (Large)each., WEAR IT DOWN A LITTLE FIRST or you'll scratch yourself!!) to gently rub it in. Or you can use a Salux Nylon Japanese Beauty Skin Bath Wash Cloth/Towel - Blue cloth to further help. Wash as usual and follow up with a good lotion like AmLactin XL Cream, 5.6 Ounces, Carmol 10 Total Body Lotion With Deep Moisturizing Formula For Dry Skin - 6 Oz, and sunscreen. At night is best if you're sun sensitive. Don't expect a miracle, and not for all skin types (some report redness, I haven't experienced), but with a little elbow grease you'll see improvement.
Don't waste your money March 29, 2008 I thought this was my answer to my KP, but....it wasn't!
it does make my skin a little smoother, but it's not enough to go, ooooh!
Don't buy it, save your money.
It's OK March 24, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I'd been using Glytone's KP kit and when I ran out, thought I'd give KP duty a try (had a gift cert.) It's OK, but I like Glytone's product and system much better. My KP has started coming back since I stopped Glytone, along with ingrown hairs. KP duty is a bit clumpy and I feel like I need to use quite a bit to get a good scrub, and lots ends up on the shower floor (compared to a little going a long way w/Glytone.) Don't think I'll buy this again...
Immediate results! Well worth the $$ January 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product is well worth the price in my opinion. A little product goes a long way and produces noticeable results. My skin felt SO smooth and when followed with the moisturizer that feeling kept right on going, hours after my shower. It made my legs feel fantastic and my arms looked/felt better than they have in years. It's very effective without being super harsh. I was able to use it after shaving without any stinging/burning. That being said I wouldn't recommend going overboard and using it everyday, as that could be counterproductive and cause more redness. After all, it does it's job by sloughing off the surface skin cells which when overdone could result in sensitivity to sun/etc. This product is also wonderful for any areas prone to ingrown hairs or excessive dryness. Strongly recommend for everyone w/ the winter skin blahs, not just those with KP : )
