This is a subtly fragranced set of sponges that have Kai scented soap infused into them. The sponge IS a bit hard because it is a "Body Buffer" - which means that it acts as a soft lofah. I am so happy with this product that I actually can't wait to get in the shower every day just to smell the soap that oozes out of the sponge onto my body. The fragrance is a top note gardenia fragrance so it is quite distinctive. If you prefer a very mild fragrance just use the body buffer in the shower and no other fragrance and your body will be left with a fresh, clean but delicatly sweet smell. But if you adore the scent of Kia (as I do) then order other products and layer your fragrnce to smell delicious all day long.

Bought this item because of the oprah hype, but...The sponge is so hard, the scent is very strong, it does smell good, but just way to strong, the butter had a great consistency, but again, scent was just too strong for me.

Kai Perfume Body Butter - Oprah's "Favorite Things"
I love the scent! I tried the body spray many years ago and had forgotten about it until I saw Oprah. I bought the body butter as it is winter now. It makes my skin really soft and smells wonderful! I will try the lotion in the summer.
