Very efficient and effective! April 18, 2007 It is basically two products in one, and that deserves 5 stars alone. It also works well, so it deserves something more, like a five PLUS. In the middle of the day, my oily skin tends to nastify my makeup and leaving my face looking like an oil slick so I just bust out this tiny little compact, use one blotting sheet to wipe the nose and the forehead (Tzone) and swipe the translucent powder over my nose and cheeks to blend it out and also across the forehead. The powder is soft and leaves my skin virtually flawless. The coverage is minimal but effective, I don't want to add more gunk on my face in the middle of the day. My make up is then renewed! This little package has it all, and leaves my purse clutter free! The powder does tend to get all over the mirror but I don't think that's avoidable with a translucent powder compact in general. The brush is tiny but easy to use w/ the powder; I like to shake off excess powder from the brush before I apply because I think the brush tends to pick up a lot of powder.
Cute and very funcitonal - but the blotting papers are pretty small and run out quickly July 27, 2006 I find this set to be a summer essential. I like the blotting powder especially. The blotting paper you can get from a number of elite brands - Boscia has the best in my opinion - but putting the two together is a great idea and makes for a very useful product! I do wish, however, that the blotting paper hadn't run out in less than 2 weeks. I'll have the powder for quite some time - there's a good supply of that. And the mirror inside is a nice touch.
Awesome! July 25, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Tarte Little Blot Book is GREAT to toss in your purse, especially in this hot summer weather! The blotting paper soaks up all the greasies, and the uncolored powder leaves your skin nice and matte, without messing up the makeup that is already there. I picked this up as an impulse buy at Sephora, and I am very happy I did.
