Product Description Packaged in a precious, genie-like bottle, Eyeshadow Primer Potion is an ultra-sheer, totally nude eye base that glides on with the wave of a wand and then disappears instantly. It's the ultimate eye prep for smoother, longer-lasting, crease-proof eyeshadow.

Works great with all my eyeshadows, especially loose powders. December 2, 2008 I use this Primer Potion as a base for my Bare Minerals loose shadow and Loreal HIP duos. It works great, especially to keep the crease color defined. I usually use two to three colors on my lid, blending a darker shade in the crease and the outer v. This primer keeps the blended powder from creating a line in my crease, and it also keeps the colors defined. It works very well for loose powder, especially when using a foil effect with water.
As a multi-tasking alternative, the Bobbi Brown concealer also works well as a primer, but this Primer Potion is completely color free, so it keeps your eyeshadows truer.
Love Love Love November 27, 2008 I love this stuff. I have a deep crease on my eye lid and oily skin, so my eye shadow is immediately and constantly smeared, worn off, creased and just plain awful. I had tried so called bases in other brands, and had been sorely disappointed by them all. So, I bought this after reading the reviews, and have used nothing else since. i can put this on under my shadow and the shadow will last ALL day! Even through two hours of sweaty karate class! Amazing. Its a must have.
One of the most effective beauty products on the market! A++ November 23, 2008 This is an awesome product. No fading of eye shadow with this beauty! I wish it came with a little bit more product for the price. However, I love this and will definitely re-purchase!
This potion is all dried up! November 12, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
There I was, on vacation in Southern California, an important soiree to attend, and I had forgotten several items from my make-up kit, including my eye primer. What's a Make-up Maven to do?
Fortunately, there was a Sephora in the mall near my hotel. The perky, heavily made, slightly snobbish salesgirl, (named Tiffany, but spelled with an ie, of course) suggested I buy Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion. Since it was not the brand I typically use, and Tiffanie's irridescent eyeshadow had clumped together to form a bluish-greenish cake in the middle of her lid, I was skeptical, to say the least.
Still, I liked the slender bottled, the fun packaging, and the clever name. So, I bought it.
I should have stuck with the brand I usually used. I should have looked at Tiffanie's cakey eyes and said "pooh-pooh" to the potion.
I was highly disappointed with this product. It goes on watery and slightly oily. I didn't notice any difference with the length of my eye makeup or the saturation of the color. In fact, the next day, I used it on one eye and not the other and at the end of the day, the eye without the potion actually looked better!
So, here's a product I recommend instead of Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion: MAC Paints
Here's what MAC says about their product: "A high tech, high performance eye shadow product which goes on creamy; dries to a powdery finish. It is ideal for colour-intensive, texture-rich looks that need to last. Made with concentrated pearl pigments in a cream colour formulation, the "transformative" abilities of MAC Paints allow for easy application, blendability, and flexibility of coverage. Its transfer-resistant finish creates a smooth, crease-free, slightly shiny, reflective look to the lid."
Works Like Magic November 8, 2008 After years of eyeshadow that disappears by the afternoon, whether expensive or cheap, I was amazed with this product. I got a sample for free with my Sephora purchase last Christmas, and became hooked. My eye make-up stays where I put it until I take it off! It's wonderful. Got oily eyelids? Try this!
