This kit is the staple item for eyes in my make-up bag. The "Meet the Eyes" kits are my all-time favorite eyeshadows, far surpassing any other (including other Bare Minerals shadows). They are matte in color (I absolutely DETEST the ever-popular glimmer shadows....if I were 16 or going to a New Year's Eve party, then maybe I'd be into them, but I just think they really defeat the purpose of natural-looking make-up that Bare Minerals so loyally promotes). In addition, they are extremely blendable and you can go from very subtle to very defined with them. I think the "Double-Ended Precision Brush" works best with these kits (small end for lining and defining the crease, broader end for sweeping across the lid and lash to brow area). I also love "Meet the Nuts" and "Meet the Plums," as they all work very well with my eye color (golden brown). You've got to try these!!

I have never cared much for putting on makeup...it's a pain in the patootie, but I *love* Bare Minerals!

These three shades of brown are PERFECT!!! I use the light brown as a base, and then I put the medium in the crease. I finish up by using the dark brown as an eyeliner. It looks wonderful! If I want a more dramatic look, I can use just the dark colors, or just the light ones if I want to go casual. Very versatile when you consider it's just brown! I also find that these eyeshadows last MUCH longer than any eyeshadows I've bought in stores. No touchups required!

I bought this kit as I was new to the Bare Escentuals line and wasn't sure what browns would look good on me. Overall I use this kit a lot (I have brown hair, brown eyes and very fair skin so I tend to wear browns a lot) but probably will not purchase it again. Here is why:
The light brown is too light. I use it as an all over base for my eye just to use it up. Using it wet makes it s a better color for me.
The medium brown is a really nice shade, yet still too light. I typically will put some of this on and then a bit of the dark brown to make a nice brown color.
The dark brown by itself is way too dark. I use it as a liner shadow and blend it in with the medium to make a nice brown.
It really is a good kit for a newbie to the makeup line. Now that I know the line better, I will be buying an individual shade of brown next time and a brown liner shadow.

These are very nice mat shades of brown. I will have to practice application because if I do it wrong it can look harsh. These are good for an overall natural look.
