| Customer Reviews:
Best eyeshadow I've ever used! July 24, 2007 I've tried various brands (admittedly, mostly from the drugstore), but I've never found such a lovely color or texture as this product. Most brown eye shadows are either too light or too dull to serve as a good eyeliner. Caught in the Act Courtney serves as a perfect dark chocolate brown liner with just the right amount of shimmer. I find that pencil rubs off easily (and no one like a mess of eye makeup), and I don't have a steady enough hand to use liquid eyeliner, so using shadow with a tiny angled brush is perfect for me. The color is perfect for work or going out -- just make sure to use an appropriate amount and it'll look great! Even though I have not used it as such, I'm sure would function equally well as a normal eye shadow (but do note that it is pretty dark, so make sure that's what you want, or get one of the lighter colors).
Where this product really stands out, however, is in its texture. The big problem I've had with using shadow as liner in the past is that there was some resistance against the skin when I swept the shadow across my lid. Because it wouldn't go on smoothly, I constantly needed to stop and restart, dipping my brush in the shadow many times just to line my top eyelid. It resulted in an uneven application that I'd need to fix up. The texture of this shadow is so smooth, though, that it just glides on, and only takes one or two dips in the shadow. It's easier to control than other shadows, and I always get a nice clean line. It's great!
