Product Description Sephora's long-handled Stainless Steel Double Loop Extractor is two-sided, featuring a small loop for white heads and a flat side to extract blackheads. To use: Prior to using the Double Ended Blemish Extractor, steaming the face, or using a hot water compress is strongly recommended to help soften comedones. This will make them much easier to remove. When you're ready to begin the extraction process lay the preferred side on top of the blemish - basically encircling this area with the loop. Apply slow and even pressure lightly until the trapped sebum is forced out of the follicle. Do not continue to attempt the extraction if the trapped sebum is not released easily. Applying too much force can cause infection and scarring. Use the small loop for whiteheads and the flat side for blackheads. A deep, cystic pimple should not be opened with a loop extractor. When dealing with deep acne, it's best to visit a dermatologist. A doctor may use a sterile needle, but only after a pustule has formed. Additional treatments depend on the severity of the acne.

Careful, you can spend hours with this tool! November 2, 2007 20 out of 20 found this review helpful
If you have black heads that won't budge (not even with a clay mask and a Biore pore strip), then this tool will help you. The double ended feature gives you the option to choose how much damage you want to do; one end is a thin metal loop (the end I mostly use), and the other end is flatter strip of metal that doesn't do me much good. One should be mindful that the same job can be done with skillful finger manipulation, but this tool is most useful in those hard to reach areas, like the corners of your nose. One slow swipe of this tool down the side of your nose will have you obsessing about every pore on your face, so use carefully with a light touch. You will be red afterward, so do it at night after a bath and a good face scrubbing. It is important to clean the tool before and after each use or you'll just spread the bacteria around, causing you to need the tool more. Don't dig to deep: you could easily create scars. Wash your face one more time after use (you'll see why) and then apply a soothing gel, like something with aloe, feverfew, or calendula.

Doesn't work at all. Finally, once I needed to use it & discovered it was a huge waste of money, it was to late to return.

Kinda of push pull . . . one end ot push, the other to pull them out. Essential weaponry for fighting blackheads or whiteheads. Just use softly on the skin. It feels so nice being able to remove them out. I am lucky my pores heal nice and tight.
Sephora is fast and easy, love them will order again! Plus their customer service is great, I got a details and return mail JIC things didn't work out but for me they did.
Great skin care tool! June 15, 2007 35 out of 35 found this review helpful
After turning thirty, I started to notice my skin was going through some serious changes - suddenly I began to have a serious problem with blackheads on my nose and chin area. UGH! I tried every cream and product available to remove these nasty blemishes, but could find nothing that would permanently remove the nasty areas!
Finally I stumbled upon this product... it seemed like such a simple idea and had to be better at removing the dirty pockets than me using my fingernails to dig into my skin. I couldn't believe the results! I used this tool right after a hot shower and was floored at how much I was able to remove. I didn't really like the thicker end of the tool because I didn't feel like I had as much control over the device, but the opposite end with the thinner wire worked miracles! I followed up my "treatment" by using a pore refining toner and lotion and my skin looked better almost instantly!
If I were going to purchase this again, I think I would opt for the model with the pointed pin on the other end so as to reduce the tension on the blemish area prior to cleaning it out. Either way, I think this is one of those little secret tools every woman should keep in their beauty bag!
