I have long, thick hair and I try not to use anything other than Mason Pearson brushes.

I don't get a lot of breakage with the boar bristles and it always seems to add instant shine. I use it toward the end of, and just after blow drying to 'seal in the look'.

I carry this one in my handbag and keep another larger one at home. Because, again, you can't beat Mason Pearson for shine and healthy hair.

Rather pricey but once you buy one you'll keep it for life.
