A LITTLE DOES A LOT December 31, 2003 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Many may not be familiar with Cellex-C, a skin care line based on ascorbic acid, Vitamin C. Developed by a cell biologist in Wisconsin, it is enjoying enormous success both here and abroad. Ms. Meisner, the inventor, attributes her interest in this item as a protest agains the widespread use by women of Retin A, which she feels makes us prone to skin cancer. From personal experience I can attest to that. After using Retin A for a number of years I developed two skin cancers on my face. Fortunately, they were both curable but who needs scars? Given what I had undergone and the recommendation of a friend I decided to try Cellex-C. My first purchase was the Advanced-C Eye Toning Gel. (Some may call them "laugh lines" but they looked like wrinkles to me). Alot of the lines may be attributed to a reluctance to put anything on my face after the experience with Retin-A or just a habit of squinting in the harsh Southwest sun. Nonetheless, after about 2 months of use there was a noticeable "softening" of the eye lines. The beauty of this product is that it only needs to be used once a day, and a small drop is enough for both eyes. If your skin is dry, I would recommend following it with an eye cream of your choice as it doesn't contain any oil. - Gail Cooke
