Just OK September 4, 2008 The color and consistancy of this product was good...however if you have sensitive skin like I do, be careful. This irritated my skin, I'm not able to use it.
Does not provide good coverage August 22, 2008 I bought it after a magazine beauty editor raved about it. I love the idea of combining moisturizer, sunscreen and foundation, voila - tinted moisturizer. But I was disappointed. It did not provide as good a coverage as Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. May be if you have flawless, porcelain skin it will work well. It just did not work well on my oily skin.
L-O-V-E for winter! January 15, 2008 I received a sample of this from Sephora, as well. I usually use Bare Minerals in the summer and Aveda foundation in the winter. I had run out of my Aveda and fished through a drawer and found this. I LOVE it! I live in Las Vegas and it is so dry here, it's perfect to simply wear a tinted foundation. I love how natural it looks, too. I have yet to try it during the summer, but my skin tends to be a little oily, so I'm not sure if it'll be right. But for now, I can't say enough good stuff!
Not for dry skin either December 19, 2007 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have dry, sensitive skin and usually wear no foundation, only concealer and pressed powder (plus blush, etc.). I'd like a bit more coverage, though, so I tried this. Applied to my face, this was the weirdest-looking cosmetic product I have ever encountered. Thick, heavily tinted, it created a strange layer of streaky color that highlighted skin flaws that were not visible with no makeup at all. I had to remove it and start over before going out in public. Thank goodness for returns.
pricey, but worth it October 11, 2007 I recently went to Sephora looking to buy a new concealer - because while the concealer I normally use should have been perfect for my skin color, it was *slightly* to yellow - which is because i am partly italian and partly french-canadian, so I have very light skin that burns easily, but has a faint yellow-olive undertone. A woman at sephora suggested using a tinted moisturizer as a base to even out my skin tone, thus prepping my skin for my fave concealer (CARGO one-base in shade 01). Alas, this has made the PERFECT match. Being on a tight budget, the $30 price tag attached to this Stila product was a bit much, but I have to say that after using it, the price is worth it. It blended into my skin perfectly, it matches my skin with no streaks or yellowness, and it provided the perfect base for my concealer, which now blends in perfectly. I finish it off with a light dusting of powder and some blush, and my skin is more even than its ever been, and i even have a dewey glow on my cheeks. i'm very impressed.
