Good Gentle Shampoo September 12, 2008 I bought this shampoo and I quite like it. It is not a lather-heavy shampoo, so be warned to thoroughly wet hair to the scalp before applying it. Also, rinse well with lots of hot water.
This shampoo gives me great hair-days on the days I use it. I like the smell (strongly herbal), and I love the way it seems to actually change the color of my hair to bring out the blond and copper tones and give it luster.
The only drawback for me is that I could not possibly use this as my only shampoo. I have stick-straight hair that shows grease very obviously. Because of that, I work on a cycle, Dr Hauska alternating with head&shoulders. The H&S cleans my scalp thoroughly and gets the grease out, then the next day I get to use the Dr H and enjoy my gorgeous, shiny hair day.
Disappointed February 28, 2008 I have to start out by saying I am a huge fan of nearly all Dr. Hauschka's products. I have many of them and have always been very happy with them. This shampoo though--and the Jojoba Marshmallow Conditioner-- I don't even know how to say how awful they are. I have a lot of hair and it is nearly impossible to work the shampoo through it...it is very low lather and simply doesn't spread around. I used 1/4 of the bottle in just two shampoos just trying to get enough on my hair. I don't care for the scent either, although it isn't horrible or anything.
The end result is that my hair is limp, flat and looks dirty like I never washed it.
Love It !!! July 23, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you have dry/damaged hair from occasional coloring, you should give this shampoo a try. Cleans hair without overdrying. If you like type of shampoos that foam a lot and leave squeaky clean feeling, this might not be for you. It foams moderately, but it does the job, and you can definitely feel and see that it does not strip away all the moisture from your hair. For that reason, it is excellent if you love your daily shampooing as i do- it's definitely mild enough for daily use. I found it better than many more expensive products as well.
