Best I've ever used May 25, 2008 I don't have much to add to all the good reviews. Like them, I have tried drugstore and department store brands and nothing tickled my fancy. I loved this product so much that I bought a bottle for my girlfriend - and it's not cheap. The other Stila product that I can't get over is the mascara ($8.50). It does what all those mascara ads have been promising for years - doesn't clump, lengthens, curls, etc. I totally love both these products and will probably be buying more Stila.
Great for light coverage March 9, 2008 This really is a great foundation for light to medium coverage, with a dewy, natural finish. Because of blemishes and some excessive redness around my nose, it didn't provide enough coverage for me, but it definitely evened out my skin tone in the less troubled areas. I also loved the consistency and the pump. It's a fantastic foundation for those with fewer skin woes.
Dewy finish February 21, 2008 I have used a lot of different foundations over the years. From cheap to very expensive, and this one has them all beat. It's light, yet has enough coverage to hide my imperfections. It leaves my skin with a dewy, fresh finish. I use 10 watt normally and 20 watt when I have a little color. My skin is pretty fair and the 10 watt matches perfectly without leaving me ghostly.
Hated it!! October 10, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I can not quite put my finger on why but I hated this product. It gives minimal coverage. The color was not right for my skin tone so I took it back to Sephora and exchanged for the next lighter color. That color did not suit me either. I don't think it gave me the glowing, dewy look that I hoped for in a foundation. I recently got a makeover from Laura Mercier and I love their foundation as well as concealer. If you really want to add a glowing look to your skin I would recommend adding Artificial Light by Smashbox Cosmetics to any foundation that you purchase.
Really good foundation September 10, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've tried hundreds of different drugstore foundations and I never found one that worked with my skin. I'm an Asian woman with medium-to-olive skin tone, so a most of the things I've tried in the past have been streaky, chalky, or it just plain old didn't match my skin tone.
Not this. I finally decided to spend the money to get this, and I think for the first time in my life I have a foundation that's flawless and light and - gasp! - matches my skin color. Awesome. It's really sheer, so I'd get something heavier if you want more coverage with covering up blotches or acne.
My only complaint is that it feels a little bit greasy at first. This is easily fixed by dusting some light translucent powder over your face (T-zone). Then you're good to go.
