rich, mysterious, mature June 25, 2008 This fragrance is exactly what I expected: rich, sensual and classy. I agree it's a more mature smell, but that doesn't bother me. That's something I actually like about it. There is something special about it, but I cannot name it...It's very mysterious. I knew this smell since I was a child and it got stuck in my memory. When I discovered Rouge for the first time last year, I knew I wouldn't miss the opportunity to get it. I know I must have it from now on, not for everyday use, but for special occasions. I love it.
MY MY MY...SOME GREAT STUFF May 21, 2008 I bought this for my girl and I loved it. This stuff actually made my heart race...I don't know what they put in it, but it smells phenomenal. She liked it too. She said that it made her feel sexy. I agree!!
2-1/2 stars, not too exciting May 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Rouge is not great and not bad either. To me it smells a bit like Avon's discontinued Rare Sapphires with some citrus notes added in. It didn't smell anything like the page in the Avon book (which I thought smelled like a weak Fendi).
Rouge doesn't have much sillage, it lies very close to the skin. The lasting power isn't too bad about 4 hours, but it doesn't stick to fabric at all.
The bottle isn't original and in fact it looks suspiciously similar to Vivienne Westwood's Anglomania bottle, which was out way before this.
Also at $32.00 in the Avon brochure, it's quite expensive for an Avon perfume. You can find designer fragrances for about the same price. I won't repurchase.
A Mature Smell April 15, 2008 I agree with the person that said it has a much more mature odor than I would have thought, even from Avon. I actually am 42 and am looking for a new perfume. I tried a sample recently and as I also have moved up in my job recently making much more money and responsibilities, the smell made me feel the way I was feeling about myself....a little older, a little more mature and confident about myself. I think it's a big score for Avon on this one!!
Avon Christian Lacroix Rouge EDP February 27, 2008 I like this fragrance from Avon. Avon Christian Lacroix does last a longtime as the last reviewer noted which is something I like in a fragrance. I would say that this fragrance is for the working professional ages 30+ and may be worn both during the day or for evening events. It has a floral scent mixed with a deeper, richer scent that I can't quite put my finger on.... almost an amber or woodsy type scent to keep this fragrance from being an overpowering floral scent.
