I was lost and now I'm found June 20, 2008 I have been hounding myself, knowing the dangers of too much UV, to just find a self tanner and do that for one summer. Well I can finally relax. I read the reviews of many products, and finally settled on Fake Bake. I am very happy with my decision!!! I put it on one leg while my momma was over visiting and we were both amazed!!! The organic dye lets you see exactly where you put it, I HAD NO STREAKING. The key to this is to use only a small amount and rub it in quickly before moving on. This stuff dries very quickly!!! the dye makes you look instantly as if you stepped off a jamaican beach. Of course, it does wash off in the shower, but I did like the color I had left. I didn't think the smell was bad, definitely was not very noticeable. I did use disposable gloves and it worked fine. The reason being this dries quickly so you won't be able to get it rised off in time!! A++++ product!
GREAT Tanning Product April 21, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Bronze look, just like spending a week on the beach. NO orange look whatsoever. This is the best I've used so far!
Hides all the imperfections April 20, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The Fake Bake tanning loition is great. When you first open it, you dont think it will be worth the time. It's very oily and slimey.
Once you put it on you would never know its a fake tan. It smells great, hides all my stretch marks and makes me look like I spent a week in Cabo San Lucas.
If you want to look tan, get the Fake Bake stuff. The ladies love a tan man ;)

This is a great product! April 8, 2008 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I have used fake bake for several years and really like the product. I used to work for a tanning salon where I would administer spray tans, and fake bake has many of the same ingredients as the solution we used (specifically DHA which is what makes you look tan). You need to use gloves when you put it on, and I would recommend putting lotion on your knees, ankles, feet, and elbows before applying the Fake Bake lotion to avoid getting these areas too dark. Also, you can use regular Fake Bake on your face; I have very sensitive skin, but if I mix a small amount of Fake Bake with my regular face lotion, I don't have any problems (they have a special one for faces too if you prefer). Fake Bake goes on very dark so that you can see any areas that you have missed. You are supposed to put it on before bed and wash it off in the morning. It has never stained my sheets. I can tell a significant difference the very first time I use it. It normally takes 2-3 times for me to get my desired color. After that, I use it weekly for maintence. Hope this helps!
Former Pale Face March 4, 2008 As a skin cancer survivor, I cannot risk time under the sun or in tanning beds yet I don't like the 'pasty' look of my face, legs, and arms. I have tried many sunless tanners over the years with varying results. Some turned my skin orange, or were too sticky, stinky, or took way too long to dry. All of them required daily use to maintain the color. Not Fake Bake. Fake Bake has a light, barely noticeable fragrance. I like that fact that it contains many organic ingrediants. It felt great going on and has a dark color indicator to insure an even application. After exfoliating in the shower, I donned my gloves and applied the product. The drying time was about 5 minutes but will vary depending upon how dry your skin is. Mine is very dry. After it dried, I had the softest skin ever! No stickiness in sight. The next morning I awoke to a subtle, natural-looking tan that if I had not known, I would never have guessed came from a bottle. I actually look, well, tan. I plan a second application tonight to deepen the color. My skin is very sensitive yet this product was not irritating. Be sure to exfoliate before you try Fake Bake and do wear gloves...this product will stain your hands.
