The final touch April 21, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Some people Bare Minerals users say you don't need the mineral veil, and the product looks as good without it, but I disagree. If I put nothing but lotion on my face, I would still want to put mineral veil on. It does something to soften the entire look. I wouldn't want to be photographed without this product- amazing.
Older skin will love it. April 11, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
CHICK PICK! If you have aged skin and have not given up on those old store-brand foundations it is time to wake up and get into the make-up artist for a new lesson on how to look updated and soft. This product is made for skin that is well nourished and well moisturized so you will get the best results on skin that has a whole exfoliating program. Get a lesson- do not try this product without a guide and buy the brush that goes with it because it will save you loads of distress and cut down on spillage.
"True" January 18, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
As the title indicates, this is a review for the color "True." The color pictured here as "True" looks very beige, but in reality it is closer to the color in the large, main photograph of the product. In the container it is a light, rosy-gold, shimmery powder, and on my face it is a sheer wash of lovely coral-pink with gold highlights. Sounds a bit over the top, I know, and as other reviewers have noted, a little goes a long way. But if applied correctly this powder can really give you that youthful, dewy sort of glow, and who doesn't love that? I apply it using my Smashbox #19 (this is a vastly superior face brush; expensive but worth it) and buff off quite a bit of it. Using this method leaves a sort of "I just exercised" flush that perks up my pale-neutral complexion when it's grey and cold outside. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because I think it could do with a bit less shimmer -- use with caution around fine lines! Overall, though, a lovely and affordable addition to my makeup palette. Oh, I should also add that I have sensitive skin and this product did not cause me to break out. Hallelujah!
Great stuff January 3, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have been using BE foundation in light for years but have never used the all-over face color. I purchased glee and like the warmth. The color could be very red if applied heavy but if used lightly it gives a delicate glow. I also love the pure and tropical radiance.

I really like Warmth, especially since I have fair skin, and I don't think I have ever tanned on my face, just sunburn and freckles. If I use it SPARINGLY on my nose, cheeks, forehead, and jaw, then I get a nice tan glow. When I first used the product, I used too much and I looked like I put QT on my face, so you might have to play around with the amount that will work right for you. I also use the "Flawless Application Brush", and then do the whole swirl and tap thing like Bare Esentuals recommends.
Glee on the other hand gives me more of a sunburned look, which I could do for free by sitting in the sun for five minutes, but then I would have to worry about wrinkles and such. Again you have to use the "All Over Face Colors" sparingly. I apply Glee the same way I apply Warmth. The great thing about Glee and Warmth is that you almost don't need to apply any blush, they work great by themselves.
The downside of Warmth or Glee is that it can be messy. Sometimes I swear I won't buy these products again. I always seem to get it all over my sink and such, but I am addicted and can't stop using them. Not only that but you really get what you pay for, they last a long time.
